How should I compare Brilliant Labs with other development platforms?

Compare the operations your app needs and the route for distributing it. Display access, input, service integration and installation matter more than the broad label developer-friendly. Include the work needed to maintain the result after the first demo.

Use one small application as the comparison

Ask each platform to support the same loop: receive an input, request or compute a result, show it and let the user leave. A platform that supports one attractive sensor demo may still require substantial work around that loop.

Record documented support, a working example and unresolved questions separately. An API reference is evidence of an interface; your own successful run is evidence about your configuration. Keeping both makes it easier to choose a platform without confusing a promising possibility with an already working integration.
