How should I start a Brilliant Labs prototype?

Send one fixed message to the physical display and receive one supported input before adding an AI service. That proves the device interaction independently of network calls and model behavior.

Make the first result unmistakable

A useful first card can be a distinctive short string rather than a polished interface. We want to know that this application sent this content to this device. Once that works, add an acknowledgment for one input and a clear way to leave the interaction.

Suppose the card says "Test 7" and a supported action changes it to "Received 7." If it fails, the problem is within a small loop. Adding speech recognition, account access and remote generation before this point creates many possible causes for the same blank display.
