Can audio smart glasses show notifications?

They can announce notifications through sound. Showing notification text in the lens requires display hardware and software that delivers text to it. The word notifications in a product description does not establish that the frame contains a screen.

Separate the phone preview from the wearer view

A promotional image may show notification cards in the companion app. Those cards can control an audio experience without appearing in the glasses. Look for a clear description of what the wearer sees or hears, especially when a product combines camera, audio and AI terminology.

If your aim is to read a message silently during a conversation, a spoken announcement does not satisfy it. Ask for that precise interaction: a new message arrives, its text appears in the lens, and the wearer dismisses it. That demonstration resolves the ambiguity much faster than a general feature list.
