How should smart glasses label stale information?
Show that the information is saved or last updated, and distinguish it from a current response. The amount of detail should reflect how much the answer can change over time.
A timestamp is useful when it changes a decision
Give task status, travel information and schedules a clear freshness cue. A generic disconnected icon may be too easy to overlook if the card still looks current. The wearer needs to understand both that the connection is unavailable and that the displayed information may be older.
A sample card could read "Last update 14:20: review waiting." That wording describes what the app knows without claiming the task is still waiting now. When a fresh update arrives, replace the saved state deliberately instead of briefly mixing old and new content.
