Why can smart glasses show the last answer while offline?
The last answer may be stored or remain on the display even though the system cannot produce a new one. Showing existing content and processing a fresh request are different capabilities.
Freshness should be visible
Label retained information when its age matters. A saved definition may remain useful for a long time; a departure time or task status can become misleading quickly. The interface should not let the presence of text stand in for evidence of a working connection.
Ask a new question with a different expected result after disconnecting. If the old answer stays visible, record that as retained content. It may be a useful fallback, but it should not be advertised as offline AI unless the new request was actually processed under the disconnected condition.
