Which SDK should I use to build a smart-glasses app?

Choose for the exact device, execution environment and capabilities your app needs. Brilliant Labs offers host SDKs for Halo and Frame paired with Lua on the glasses. Even Hub runs web apps on the phone and exposes Even G2 through its SDK. Snap uses Lenses, with Spectacles Mobile Kit connecting native mobile apps to a Lens.

Start with the operation your app must perform

A text-display app, a camera-processing app and a spatial experience need different APIs. Before comparing programming languages, identify whether the platform exposes the display, input and sensors required for your idea. A familiar language cannot compensate for a missing device capability.

Build the same minimal interaction on the candidate platform before committing to a larger architecture. Read the current SDK documentation for the exact model; support for another product from the same company is not enough to establish compatibility.
