How should an AI response be formatted for a smart-glasses display?
Give the response a defined structure that fits the task: a short answer, essential context and an optional route to more detail. Validate the required fields and length before rendering. Do not remove a qualification that changes the meaning merely to make the text shorter.
Compress the wording without changing the claim
A long response can contain an answer, uncertainty and supporting detail. The display may need the first two while the companion screen carries the evidence. Cutting after a fixed number of characters can remove “not,” a condition or the unit attached to a number.
Request structured output and handle invalid or oversized results explicitly. For an invented status message, “Likely delayed; arrival unconfirmed” is more faithful than shortening an uncertain explanation to “Delayed” and presenting a guess as a confirmed event.
