What does camera-free mean for smart glasses?
It means the glasses do not contain a camera for capturing images. It is a concrete hardware distinction, especially for people who want visible information without adding a frame-mounted camera to their conversations.
Describe the other inputs separately
We favor precise descriptions because camera-free can otherwise become shorthand for claims it does not establish. A device may still have microphones, a companion app or connected services. Each has its own role in the workflow. The absence of one sensor does not describe the entire system.
For a visual assistant, ask how it receives context. It might work from a spoken question, a connected calendar or information supplied on the phone. Those routes differ from photographing what the wearer sees. Naming the route makes the product easier to understand without implying capabilities it does not have.
