What should an organization ask a smart-glasses vendor about data?

Ask which information the intended workflow captures, where it goes, what remains and who can access it. Request answers for the actual feature and deployment configuration, rather than a broad assurance about the product category.

Give the vendor a concrete scenario

Describe one planned use, such as meeting assistance, and ask the vendor to trace its records through the system. Include administrative controls, connected services and what happens when a user leaves. Specific questions make gaps easier to identify before a pilot.

For example, ask separately about source audio, transcript, summary and diagnostic logs. They may have different destinations or retention behavior. Keep the vendor's response attached to the configuration and date it covers. An answer about a consumer feature should not silently become an assumption about an organizational deployment.
