Why do smart glasses use Bluetooth?

Bluetooth supplies a local wireless connection between nearby devices. It can carry supported audio or application data without a cable. The services available over that connection depend on what both devices and their software implement.

Connection does not mean access to every feature

A phone may recognize a device while an application still lacks the protocol or permission needed to control its display. We think of pairing as the start of the conversation, not its vocabulary. Audio playback, microphone input and custom display commands can follow different paths even when the same frame supports them.

If music works but a custom text card does not, the radio is not necessarily broken. The text feature may require the manufacturer's SDK, a separate app connection or a supported command. Diagnose the failing feature before deleting a pairing that already works for another purpose.
