How should I evaluate glasses reliability with a phone in the background?

Repeat the task after locking the phone, after inactivity and after reconnecting. Foreground success is an initial check; background use exercises a different part of the companion app and operating system.

Observe the state before reopening the app

Record what the glasses do while the phone remains locked. Opening the companion may restore the connection and hide the original problem. Note whether an input receives acknowledgment, whether a local display update works and whether a remote request completes.

Use a short repeatable task and record the idle period. If failures occur only after waiting, include that timing in the report. It helps distinguish an immediate permission or protocol problem from work that stops when the application is no longer active in the same way.
