What should software developers remember about smart-glasses fit?

A layout is viewed through an optical assembly worn by a person. Text that fits inside a screenshot can still be awkward to see in the intended wearing position. Software should allow the task to remain clear within the usable display area.

Do not put every important control at an edge

Our design preference is to keep the primary message easy to locate and avoid using the entire nominal canvas just because it exists. Frame fit and viewing position vary. A visual prototype helps with layout, but it cannot establish the wearer's optical result.

Compare a short centered card with a dense screen containing critical details in every corner. The latter creates more opportunities for fit and navigation to interfere with the task. Work with observed device trials when available and label software previews as previews rather than evidence of physical readability.
