Why can my phone find smart glasses but fail to connect?

Discovery and an application session are different stages. The device may be visible while the expected pairing state, permission or protocol session is not ready. Another existing connection can also be relevant, depending on the product.

Identify what the app means by connected

Look for a successful operation, not only a device name in a list. The companion may discover the frame before it has completed the connection needed for display commands. An operating-system connection can also differ from the app's own session.

Follow the documented setup path once and record the first step that does not complete. If you can see the device but never receive an application acknowledgment, that narrows the report. Repeatedly tapping its name without observing the state change provides less useful evidence.
