Is Meta Ray-Ban Display the same as Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2?

No. Meta Ray-Ban Display is the display-equipped product, while regular Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 is a camera-and-audio model. Reviews and setup instructions should be read against the full product name.

Similar names can hide a different workflow

We would keep the name visible in any comparison table. Otherwise features such as in-lens captions can drift into a column describing regular Gen 2. The confusion is especially easy when an article shortens both products to Meta glasses.

A useful comparison begins with output: can the product show text in the lens, or does it deliver the response through audio? Only then compare the supported features, controls and phone requirements. This avoids making a purchasing decision from a demonstration of the wrong device.
