Meta advertises up to eight hours of typical use for Gen 2 and additional recharging capacity in the case. Time supplied by the case is not uninterrupted time with the glasses on your face.
Count charging breaks as part of the day
Write down the workload alongside the duration: video clips, audio listening and AI requests. Then record when the glasses return to the case and when they are usable again. Two products can advertise similar daily totals while requiring different interruptions.
If your priority is one long session, compare on-frame duration for that workload. If your day includes breaks, case charging may be convenient. A test record that says "used from morning to evening" without those breaks and activities is too incomplete to compare with the manufacturer's typical-use figure.
