What does the Ray-Ban Meta recording light mean?
Ray-Ban describes an outward-facing white capture LED: a brief flash for a photograph and a steady light during video recording. A separate inward-facing notification LED informs the wearer. The two lights serve different audiences.
Do not read more into a signal than it says
Explain the visible capture signal before using the camera around someone. It helps them understand the immediate action. It does not tell them everything about microphone use, connected services or retained data. Those details require the relevant feature's behavior and documentation.
If a nearby person asks whether you are recording, answer about the current task directly. Demonstrating the capture light can help, but pointing to an unlit LED is not a complete explanation of all audio or AI activity. Keep the hardware signal and the broader privacy conversation separate.
