What should I do when a translation in my glasses seems wrong?
Pause the exchange and confirm the important detail. Ask the speaker to repeat or use a shorter phrase, then verify a name, number or instruction through another channel if needed. A confident-looking sentence on a display does not show whether the underlying recognition was certain.
Repair the misunderstanding before adding more context
Continuing with a guessed interpretation can make the next reply harder to understand. If the app exposes the original recognized text, use it to see whether the mistake began with hearing the words. Written names and numbers can be easier to confirm than another attempt at the same spoken phrase.
For an app we were designing, the original text and a clearly marked correction would remain available. Replacing an earlier translation silently can leave two people acting on different versions of what was said.
