Is a virtual monitor the same as spatial computing?
A virtual monitor can be one spatial-computing application, but displaying a rectangular screen does not establish a general spatial platform. Application support, tracking and input determine what else you can do.
A screen is a particular use of the display
Begin with the actual work: watching a video, editing a document or placing interactive objects around a room. The first two can be supplied by a connected computer. The third requires software that understands spatial placement and provides suitable controls. Similar promotional images can conceal those differences.
If your project needs labels attached to physical equipment, a product that mirrors a laptop is not enough evidence of support. Find the relevant spatial API and an example of the behavior. Conversely, if you only want a portable desktop screen, a broad spatial development platform may add complexity you do not need.
