Can teleprompter glasses help me maintain eye contact?
Glasses can place cues closer to your normal line of sight, reducing the need to look down at a separate script. That does not guarantee natural eye contact. Dense text can still make your gaze and delivery look like reading, especially if you follow every word.
Use the display as a cue you can leave
Short prompts make it easier to glance, retrieve the next thought and return attention to the person in front of you. Position and text size matter, but the amount you need to read often matters more. A familiar talk gives you more freedom to use sparse cues.
Rehearse with another person or record a short sample. Look for long stretches of fixed gaze and pauses caused by searching the text. Simplify those passages before trying to solve a reading-heavy script with a different display position.
