What should a teleprompter do if the glasses lose connection?
A connection loss should leave the script position understandable and provide a predictable way to continue or recover. Whether the glasses can keep displaying a script depends on where the text and application state are stored. A connected session does not establish offline support.
Separate the script from the connection
If the app depends on the phone for each new passage, losing that link can prevent advancement even when the current words remain visible. If text is stored locally, reconnection still needs to restore the correct position instead of restarting or jumping ahead. The interface should make a stopped connection visible.
Before a presentation, rehearse the failure once and keep an accessible alternative copy of the script. Test both a brief interruption and a fresh offline start; those reveal different dependencies.
