What is field of view in smart glasses?
Display field of view is the angular extent of the image as seen by the wearer. It is usually described in degrees. A value needs an axis: horizontal, vertical and diagonal measurements are not interchangeable.
Angular size is different from pixel count
Ask how much view the image occupies and how finely that area is sampled. A larger angle can provide more apparent space, but the same pixel count spread across it changes the angular sampling. The eyebox is another separate property: the region where the eye can receive the image.
When comparing two specification sheets, put horizontal beside horizontal and diagonal beside diagonal. If one omits the axis, ask for clarification rather than treating the larger number as a larger usable image. A correctly labeled value is more useful than an impressive but ambiguous headline.
