What is the eyebox in smart glasses?
The eyebox is the region where your eye can receive the intended display image. It describes a viewing region, not the size of the digital picture. Moving outside that region can make part of the image harder to see.
Your eye has to meet the optical path
We find it useful to imagine a viewing window with some room for your eye to move. Frame position affects where the eye sits relative to that window. The field of view answers a different question: how much angular space the picture covers when viewed through the system.
If a corner appears when you shift the frame slightly, you have learned something about viewing position. That does not by itself prove the image needs more pixels. When asking a supplier about the eyebox, also ask for the eye relief at which it is specified so the dimensions have a meaningful context.
