Why are the corners of a glasses display harder to read?
The usable image can change across the field of view and with eye position. Text placement and the optical system both matter. A clear center does not establish equally clear edges for the wearer.
Move the same text before changing the text
Place one short word at the center and then near each edge while keeping its size and rendering unchanged. That removes one source of confusion: a corner label should not be smaller than the center label in a comparison of positions.
If the word is clear centrally but difficult at an edge, note whether a normal frame adjustment changes it. If every position improves when the layout becomes less crowded, content density may also be involved. Keep those observations separate so a supplier or designer can address the relevant part of the experience.
